My beautiful friend Sarah is expecting a baby boy in April. I “met” Sarah last year when she still lived in England. She found an online group for families new to the Edmonton area that I also belonged to as she and her family were soon going to arrive in Canada to start a new chapter in life. I knew I liked her even before I officially met her. She’s beautiful inside and out and she’s going to be a Mommy again very soon!
Since her due date is so close to Easter, the shot above seemed fitting.
Little M. is going to make a great big sister!
This shot is for Dad who is excited to have a baby boy on the way.
There’s more than enough love in this family to go around…
I’m a sucker for anything “Dreamy”…
Congratulations! I can’t wait to meet baby M.!
Way back in November, Hope organized (and funded largely from her own pocket) an 80’s shoot just for the fun of it! I, along with other enthusiastic shutterbugs, squeezed into a retro basement and snapped away to our hearts delight. We laughed, we hummed 80’s tunes, and we channelled our inner 80’s mojo. However, there was a certain girl (*insert throat clearing muffled ~ Megan ~ here*) who pointed out she was in fact BORN in the 80’s.
Our Models were FANTASTIC! Thank you ladies!
I had so much fun.
A few props….
Primping, backcombing, hair-spraying, spackleing on the neon makeup…
Now onto the shoot….
Remember the laser beam backdrop?!
Twice now, we have given Jamie’s Grandmother an Amaryllis plant kit for Christmas. Grandma tells me they bloom beautifully, but since I’m not so great with plants I’ve never tried my hand at planting one. This year my hubby bought me an Amaryllis plant for Christmas too (it was stuffed in my Christmas stocking), and although I was doubtful I could get it to bloom, I planted the bulb on boxing day. I was so excited when it started growing (it doesn’t take much to make me excited).
A few days ago, as I was doing dishes, I noticed my beautiful little plant was going to bloom any day!
I knew that the next day we would be travelling to Vermilion to visit family, but I was sure my little plant would not chose the only day I wasn’t home to bloom.
I was wrong…..
I came home to this…
Although I missed the petals creeping out, it is beautiful. I have no idea if I’ll be able to get it to bloom next year so I had to take some pictures of my very first Amaryllis!
I love my kid’s eyelashes…
