What a year 2008 has been! The year started out with so much doubt in the direction I was going with photography but after taking Hope’s DLS Workshops earlier this year, 2008 in now ending with promise and excitement as I look to the year ahead. I’m thankful for the friendships I have made through the workshops as well. It’s great to have found such a fun group of shutterbugs!
I have enjoyed capturing so many wonderful moments and I have loved working with amazing families, lovey-dovey couples, silly and energetic kids, and beautiful women this year. I can’t wait to do it all over again in the new year. My Mom used to tell me that if you get lost in your work and lose track of time you’ve found the career for you. I’m still pinching myself that I’m actually pursuing my passion for photography. I want to thank my friends, family, and clients for supporting me as I grow in my business. I’m working on a website and new packages for the new year so stay tuned!
It’s way too cold outside to take any outdoor pictures, so it was a perfect opportunity this morning to play with my new flash I bought yesterday before I use it at my sister Darlene’s wedding this week-end. Happy New Year! May 2009 bring you lots of joy and laughter 🙂
Today was the boy’s Christmas Concert. They did great! It does make me sad that this is Ty’s last Christmas concert, but I don’t think he minds so much. This is only the beginning for Tessa and Lucas though so my Christmas concert days are far from over!
This year marks a first for our family. We were able to watch Tessa’s first Christmas concert tonight as she’s in Playschool, and tomorrow we will go to Tyler’s last Christmas concert as he’s in Grade 6. This will also be Lucas’ first Christmas Concert in grade school! Here’s a picture of Miss Tessa tonight before her big stage debut! She was so sweet and sang her heart out. I’ll post some of the boys from their concert tomorrow!
Here’s a shot of my boys from our little family session at the OTS park.
These past few weeks, I’ve had 3 boudoir sessions with 3 sexy, beautiful women! I wish I could blog something…but I can’t. The pictures are Christmas gifts and I can’t think of a better gift for your partner!
I can’t believe Christmas is only 3 weeks away! Now that we have snow, it sure feels like Christmas. How’s the shopping going? It’s not so good on my end, I need to get out there and do some shopping!!!
Happy Shopping 🙂
A few months ago, my fabulous friend agreed to help me out with a little Trash the Dress project. She also Volun-told her husband who shined up his beloved Harley and put up with picture after picture from a rather bossy photographer (that would be me).
Because this was a personal project, I’ve been working on the pictures in between other sessions over the last few months. I have the most patient friend ever (Thanks Michelle)!
